about
Kika Krutop
is a Copenhagen-based yoga teacher and a sound meditation facilitator who values creating the precious and needed moments of deep rest, calm and reconnection in an increasingly busy and demanding world. Kika teaches yoga in-studio, online and for corporate clients.
She has facilitated over two hundred public and private soundbaths in Copenhagen and regularly works with companies to bring relaxation, stress management and nervous system regulation to teams, as well as hosting nourishing and soulful public and private candlelit soundbath sessions and individual one-to-one sound treatments.
Yoga has held an important part in my life and in my sense of self for over 15 years already. Vinyasa yoga is especially dear to my heart. I absolutely love the expressivity of it, how the practice can become an expression of who I am in any particular day. I love how much life this practice holds and conveys, how much can be felt and moved, how alive it makes me feel yet how adaptable it is to any day and mood I’m in. This is what I like to teach as well. Providing a space for people to feel themselves and really allow their uniqueness to shine through first on their mat, to get the empowerment to allow it also off the mat. Also to be compassionate and always adapt the practice (or life) to their needs. Crazy how much power this little wiggle we do on our mats has, right? :)
My teaching usually varies depending on the who is in the room. Amongst others, I have taught yoga classes tailored for climbers, for people with a fragile stress response, office workers and for people who seek more depth in their yoga practice.
I am also trained in Yin yoga and absolutely love holding a safe space for slowing completely down, dropping in and feeling just a little bit more. Our worlds are more and more full of noise and overstimulation which contributes to the incresing levels of stress, overwhelm and anxiety and feel like we need more and more spaces where we can just pause and drop it all to actually have time to process the daily experiences and draw the senses inwards so that we can feel like we can manage it all and it doesn’t all become too much.
I furthermore try to bring focus to awareness in moving so that my students’ yoga practice could be sustainable and supporting their bodies, instead of hurting them. (Yes, you can get injured from yoga! ;) ).
A more recent interest of mine is Prenatal yoga - creating a safe yet empowered space for women to rest, come from the busy heads back to their bodies, address any ached and pains while giving them a chance to both deeply relax but also move in a way that feels like themselves. Strong yet soft, explorative yet guided.
I also love to work 1-on-1 so do not hesitate to get in touch if you want a more personalised approach especially during more stressful periods.
I have an online yoga library where over the last few years I have uploaded over 300 10-60 minute yoga practices in a wide variety of intensities to make it easier for you to come on your mat and take some time for you to recenter. New classes get uploaded there each month and the price is kept very affordable so that you could have that little companion with you wherever whenever.
I am a trained sound therapy practitioner and have been fascinated by how deeply the sound vibrations and the sounds of different instruments such as Gongs, singing bowls, chimes, bells, rattles, drums can touch us and trigger memories, emotions and affect our nervous system. It has been absolutely amazing to work with people both individually or in groups and allow this modality that feels so sacred to do it’s magic. The deep relaxation and relief in people’s faces after each and every treatment just means everything - its’s such a simple yet such a powerful tool to use!
You can find upcoming sound bath events in the EVENTS section or book a PRIVATE GROUP, or INDIVIDUAL session for you, your colleagues or your loved ones
Love,
Kika
